Equitable Development Initiative
The Equitable Development Initiative (EDI) was conceived to better ensure that real estate developers reflect their city’s diversity and that real estate developers of color are able to participate in growth and revitalization efforts in the cities they call home.
In 2016, 313c worked with Capital Impact Partners (CIP) to create a 4-day pilot program and network event to launch the EDI program. In 2017, 313c and CIP conceived, designed and delivered a comprehensive 5-month development course for emerging real estate developers of color in Detroit.
Since its founding, EDI has expanded to Washington, D.C., the San Francisco Bay Area, and Dallas, Texas. 313c supports Capital Impact with program advisory and curriculum design across all 4 geographies.
EDI is a project of Capital Impact Partners.
